ProComedian is broad. It books tours, tracks a P&L, runs a venue database. But the AI runs on a credit meter, so the feature you would actually lean on, pulling apart a recorded set, burns the month in about twelve minutes. Caligari does one thing instead of ten: the write, perform, analyze, improve loop, with no counter ticking while you work.

Why comics switch
No credit anxiety
On a metered tool you hesitate before analyzing a set, which is the one move that actually makes you better. Caligari includes Joke DNA in the plan, so you can read every open mic and every showcase without watching a number drop.
Built around your voice, not a vending machine
Joke DNA works like an editor with x-ray vision. It transforms a bit into its parts, the premise, the misdirection, the energy and the shape, so you can see why it works. It does not write the joke for you. It sounds like you because it is you.
You own the cabinet
Years of material should never be a hostage. Your bits live in your account, private, never sold and never trained on. Your set lists export booker-ready when you need to hand a club a clean running order.
Where ProComedian does more
Fair is fair. ProComedian bundles tour planning, a venue database, and P&L tracking into one login. If you are running a touring business today and want the booking and the budgeting in the same place, that is a real pitch, and Caligari does not try to be your accountant. We stay pointed at the craft: write the bit, build the set, log the show, get better.
Questions, answered
Is Caligari a good ProComedian alternative?
Yes. It covers the same core workflow, organizing jokes, building and timing sets, logging shows, and AI analysis, without a credit meter sitting on top of the AI.
Does Caligari charge credits for AI?
No. Joke DNA analysis is included with every paid plan, so you can analyze material as often as you like. The only limit is how many bits your tier holds: 25 on Free, 100 on Open Mic, 500 on Working Comic, and unlimited on Headliner.
Can I move my material over from ProComedian?
Yes. You can paste material straight into a new bit, or bulk-import larger blocks of text and Caligari helps you split and tag it. If you have an export and want a hand, email hello@caligari.lol and we will migrate it for you.
How much does Caligari cost?
Free to start with no card. From there it is Open Mic at $4 a month, Working Comic at $8 a month, and Headliner at $16 a month. Founding Members lock Working Comic at $72 a year for life while the first 500 slots last.
Does Caligari have a mobile app?
Caligari runs in any browser today, on a laptop or a phone. A dedicated mobile app is on the roadmap. Join the early-access list to hear when it ships.
